While inaugurating the 16th NCB International Seminar on Cement, Concrete and Building Materials “Clean & Green is Sustainable here on Monday Dr Mohapatro stated that recent budget corporate tax will be a good booster for Indian cement industry for adding the additional installed capacity and increasing the existing capacity utilization. Adoption of latest technology equipment and its efficient operation with proper environmental practices resulted in lower carbon foot print will helps more to the clean & green is sustainable Dr Mohapatro added.
NCB DG BN Mohapatra was said the Conference is dedicated to the theme of Clean & Green is Sustainable which helps to bring together planners, policymakers, technocrats and the scientific and engineering community on to a Single platform for disseminating knowledge on latest innovations to take India’s growth story forward.
Chairman of NCB & President of CMA, MD & CEO – Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd Mahendra Singhi was said cement industry place a pivotal role in fulfilling the flag ship schemes of Indian government such as Housing for all by 2022, Creation of 100 smart cities, dedicated freight corridors, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Make In India, Ultra mega power projects, world-class infrastructure including cement concrete highways, Ports, Airports and other sector also.
Union Joint secretary of DPIIT Anil Agrawal was said the government is willing to take effective policy decisions to resolve issues of latest waste processing techniques and increase the overall thermal substitution rate but Indian cement industry should also show its commitment by going an extra mile.
