The Khira Chora Gopinath Temple, located in Remuna, Odisha, is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. That night, Krishna appeared in the dream of the temple priest and instructed him to retrieve a hidden pot of Khira (sweetened condensed milk) from behind the deity and give it to Madhavendra Puri. The priest followed the divine instructions, found the pot of Khira, and offered it to the saint. This miraculous incident gave the temple its name, Khira Chora Gopinath, meaning “The Lord Who Stole Khira.”
